– All right, so if you're someone who wants to find money making methods that you can do globally around the world, including methods that
you can do 100% for free with no startup costs,
even if you are a teenager, then you would have my eternal gratitude if you took a moment to
give this video a like because this video is for you. Yes, I was inspired to make this video after I filmed my last video, where I talked about how as a teenager, I had a side hustle where
I would import and resell video games and accessories. And I thought, you know what? It was 15 years ago that I was a teenager, and well, if I'm honest,
that was a long time ago. And back when I was a kid, websites were a lot less
sophisticated than they are day, and so even though a lot of websites had that dreaded you
must be 18 years or older to use this website phrase in
their terms and conditions.
It usually didn't matter because websites weren't
sophisticated enough to actually check your age. And so a lot of kids, including me were probably using a lot
of websites illegally. But these days websites are
a lot more sophisticated and they have ways to actually check, which is kind of a shame because back when I was a teenager, a lot of kids thought it was weird that I had my own business, but now teenagers are
super entrepreneurial. And so I was kind of curious, just how hard is it for these
entrepreneurial teenagers to make money online today? And so to put it to the test, I went and found this video here where I talk about a
hundred websites and apps that adults can use to
earn money online for free. And I decided to go through
the terms and conditions and find out how many
of them allow teenagers.
And you know what I found? Over 90% banned teenagers. And for some of the others that didn't explicitly ban
teenagers, they kind of did because the only payout method
that they had was PayPal. And you cannot use PayPal unless
you are 18 years or older. It's honestly so annoying, and so for you entrepreneurial
teenagers out there, I wanted to create a
curated list of websites and apps that you can use to
earn money online as well. So let's get started with our first method which is to earn free
cash by answering surveys. So this is a great method if
you're one of those people that likes to play around with your phone while you're watching Netflix and YouTube, and it's also a great method if you're looking for
something that is 100% free because the only thing that
you will need to do this is your phone. But what it's not great for is for people that want to get rich because here's the honest truth when it comes to answering surveys, they're never gonna make you rich. They can be great side money that you earn while you're doing
something else like YouTube, but you're not gonna earn
thousands of dollars doing it.
If you would like to earn
thousands of dollars though, you'll probably be more interested in the method after this one. Now, of course, surprise, surprise, when I first started researching this, I quickly discovered that
most paid survey apps ban teenagers. However, I did manage to find two paid legitimate survey apps that do let teenagers
earn money with them. Yay. So the first is Poll Pay. This is a super simple app. You just register for free
and then check in each day and see if there are any
surveys that you can complete while you've got YouTube or
Netflix on in the background.
They're paid around $1 to $3 per survey. Now their cash payouts are to PayPal. However, they do have a
range of cash gift cards that you can pick from instead such as Amazon cash gift cards that people are earning every month, yay. Their minimum age in their
terms and conditions is 16. So teenagers 16 years and
older can check it out. And the next app on our list is Swagbucks. This works very similar to Poll Pay, you just check in each day and see if there are any
surveys that you can complete while you've got Netflix or
YouTube on in the background. Like Poll Pay, they pay
out their cash to PayPal, but they also have a
range of cash gift cards that you can choose from, again, such as Amazon cash gift cards that people are earning every month. And their minimum age is 13, so it's great for lots of teenagers. But what if you want a
hustle that has the potential to earn serious money, as
in thousands of dollars? Well, in that case, I think
you'll be more interested in the next hustle on our list.
And that is to earn money
by starting a TikTok. Yep, and given how popular
TikTok is with teenagers, I thought that most would find this a pretty fun side hustle to get into. And luckily I've checked it out with the terms and conditions, and if you are 18 years and older, as long as your parents are okay with it, you are allowed to post
videos on TikTok, yay. So when I discovered that teenagers are allowed to post videos onto
TikTok, I got really excited because TikTok has a Creator Fund which pays out cash
payouts to TikTok creators if you have 10,000 plus followers. And I thought that this could
be a really great method for teenagers to pursue if they
wanted to earn money online. But then I went ahead and read the terms and
conditions for the Creator Fund which is different from their
normal terms and conditions, and the Creator Fund terms and conditions explicitly states that you
need to be 18 years or older to earn money.
So in other words,
TikTok is more than happy for teenagers to post videos and to get views to their platform, but they don't want to pay you for them. Luckily though, there is another way to earn money with TikTok and that is through affiliate marketing. And it's actually something
that I do over here on YouTube. So I'll show you how it works. You see, I have videos like
this one here on YouTube which contain tutorials
on how to use Canva to create short mobile videos
for platforms like TikTok. Well, if you check out
the video description, you will see that there is a link where you can go ahead and
register and purchase Canva. And if you check out that link, you will see that it has a
tracking code attached to it. Well, that link is an affiliate link, and that tracking code, and it tracks whether somebody goes ahead and purchases a Canva subscription after clicking on my link. And if they do, I earn a commission as a thank you for referring the customer.
And as you can see, in the past 30 days, I have made over 2,000
New Zealand dollars, which is over 1,300 U.S. dollars at the time of filming this video. So one of the most
effective ways to earn money with affiliate marketing on TikTok is to do what this user has done and to make cool videos
about viral products. So if you go to their bio,
you'll see that there's a link.
And if you click on it, you'll
be able to click on links to go and purchase the
products that they showcase in their videos. And you will be taken to Amazon
where you can purchase it. Well, those links are surprise, surprise, monetized affiliate links from
the Amazon affiliate program. It's called Amazon Associates,
and it's really simple. For 24 hours after somebody
clicks on your link, you will earn commissions on
anything that they purchase, around three to 10% commissions usually. It's a very creator
friendly affiliate program, and it's especially cool because of the fact that
it's very teenage friendly. In their terms and conditions they state that if you're under the age of 18, you can still register and
earn money from the program as long as your parents are cool with it.
Plus they'll pay out
money to a bank account, no PayPal required. Now it's really funny, whenever
I say that a bank account is a very teenage friendly way
to receive payments online, I'll get a bunch of teenagers who will come into the
comments and be like, no, it's not. I can't get a credit card, so that means that I
can't get a bank account. There are definitely
some teenagers out there that think that they're the same thing. Well, the answer is that they
are very different things. And while you can definitely
not get a credit card as a teenager, you can
indeed get a bank account. Most banks even have
special youth bank accounts which come with some extra
perks that you do not get if you are 18 years or
older, which is pretty cool. But, of course, I bet a bunch
of you watching are like, well, gee, Sarah, I don't
wanna have to make videos, and I also don't wanna
have to buy products to then make videos about
just to make money online. And so if that is you, don't worry because I think
you might be more interested in the next hustle on my list which is to earn free cash
by starting a merch store.
Yes, this method should
probably not come as a surprise to my longtime viewers as I've talked about many
times on this channel, it's one of my personal favorite ways to earn money passively online. Plus this also has the added
bonus that you can do this 100% for free with no startup costs, yay. Now for you adults watching, there are many free websites
that I've talked about on this channel that will let you start a print-on-demand merch business for free.
However, unsurprisingly,
my research revealed that, surprise, surprise, most of these websites have banned teenagers. However, I did manage to find two that did let teenagers
earn money with them. The first is Redbubble. Now, yes, my longtime viewers will almost certainly recognize Redbubble, but I'll quickly explain
it for those of you that are new around here. So Redbubble is a giant
online merch store. On here, you can buy
all sorts of cool merch, such as phone cases, and
you can buy cool stickers and you can buy cool T-shirts, these T-shirts here are some of the most popular
T-shirts on Redbubble. Now, the really cool
thing about all this merch that you've seen here is
that it is user generated. While Redbubble does print
and ship out the merch that customers buy, they don't
design any of the pictures or the slogans that they
print onto the merch. It's users that they do. And so here is how teenagers
are using Redbubble to earn free money online. What they do is they come
and create a free account and then upload their own merch design, such as a picture or a funny text slogan, and they give it a
title, tags and keywords.
Then they go through the different merch that Redbubble can create and sell and choose which merch they think that their design looks best on and then place it onto it. Then they save their merch. Redbubble will now automatically
generate product pages for each of the merch that
you've created with your design and their four million plus customers can now come find and buy your merch. And each time that somebody
does come and says, buys a piece of your merch, one of Redbubble's merch
factories will see the order and go, yep, let's make it.
They will then print your
design onto that product, and then they'll package the product up and they'll ship it out to the customer. And then they'll send you a commission for the art or the
slogan that you uploaded that the customer chose from. And the commissions are usually 10 to 20% of the product price. And of course, the more
products that you sell, the higher your monthly check is. So of course, you can see why Redbubble is called in the industry
a print-on-demand store because they print merch on
demand as customers order it. Now, of course, you might
be sitting there wondering, gee, do people actually come to Redbubble and buy this user generated merch? And the answer is yes, they very much do. There is a reason why
I get a ton of comments from my viewers saying that
they're earning passive income every month with Redbubble. It's because Redbubble is
actually a pretty popular website with customers.
Every month, Redbubble gets
tens of millions of views from customers and in their
latest earnings report, they revealed that last year they sold over $600 million
worth of user generated merch, and they paid out over $100 million in commissions to artists,
which is pretty cool. And so the next question
of course is this, can teenagers use Redbubble? And the answer is, yes,
teenagers are allowed to earn money with Redbubble. Plus they also outline in
their terms and conditions that teenagers 16 years and older are allowed to use their website, yay.
But even if you're a teenager
who is younger than 16, don't worry because
there is still a website out there for you, and
that is Spreadshirt. Spreadshirt is very similar to Redbubble, it's a user generated
print-on-demand marketplace, but unlike Redbubble, they let teenagers 13 years
and older use their website. Yay. And by the way, if you're watching this and you'd like to learn
about how I and others earn money every day with print-on-demand, you should be sure to
download my free ebook, "The 6 Steps that 6 Figure
Online Stores Follow to Make Over $10,000 a Month." And you'll find a link
to download my free ebook in the video description below.
But anyway, back to the video, and onto our next method, which is to earn free
cash by scanning receipts. Yep, this is a super easy
way to earn some extra cash if you're already buying something anyway. Just download a receipt
scanning app like Upside, and then when you purchase something, snap a photo of your receipt
and then upload it to the app. And then you'll get
rewarded with free cashback. You can get it paid out to a bank account or you can instead choose to
cash it out for cash gift cards like Amazon gift cards, yay. The terms and conditions currently state that teenagers 16 years or older are allowed to use the app for free. So in my opinion, it's
just a no brainer way to earn some extra cash if you're already buying something anyway.
And something that's
also good to keep in mind is that a lot of countries have their own specific
version of the app. So for example, in the UK, you guys have your own version of the app, it's called Quidco. It works just the same. If you're 16 years a older, you can then download the app for free and then snap a photo of your receipt and then upload it to the app. And then you'll be
rewarded with free cashback or free cash gift cards. Yay. So then, did you learn something new and do you want more videos
